Welcome to this weeks favourite Friday! This week we have Electric jets, Caterpillars that teach code, A Windows 95 Emulator and more!
In celebration of their 12th birthday, Facebook created a video specified to all users: #Friendsday. A made up holiday in celebration of friends and everything that connects us to them (Such as Facebook!) Teach users video shows polaroid photographs of you and your most connected friends on Facebook along with it's memories.
Twitter appears to be working on a gif sharing tool similar to the Gif search function on Facebooks Messenger app. The function will allows users to search through a selection of gifs to share in their Tweets in the newsfeed.
Fisherprice have created an interactive toy caterpillar that can teach kids as young as the ages between 3 - 8 years old how to code. Although there is no literal coding involved, the concept behind how the toy works is that of coding. The caterpillar comes with add ons that connect via a USB port, each having a particular command such as moving a certain direction, making a certain noise, spin, etc. Encouraging experimentation with different patterns.
The man behind electric cars and Tesla home batteries is now talking about electric jets. Although electric based flight has been around since the 1970s, they have only been hybrids. Whereas what Musk is talking about is potentially working on a fully electric airplane.
Miss the horrifically slow, boring colour filled, blocky but nostalgic screen of Windows 95? You can relive those distant memories with this Windows 95 emulator. Use Dial up internet connection for added effect.
